The London-based local authority I am working with is looking for a Head of Economic Development to be responsible for the strategic development and delivery of services in relation to business engagement, markets, and town centre management.

The Authority offers a hybrid working arrangement, is closely connected to a tube line and has parking onsite too.

Some responsibilities may include:

• Manage and oversee the strategic approach to business inward investment that focuses on potential growth sectors of the borough.
• Lead on the overall Town Centre/ Shopping Parades management which will determine the strategic direction
• Lead income generation and the strategic development of the borough’s Markets and street trading activities.
• May include managing up to 5 staff directly.
