Are you ready to take on an interim contract which will carry you through to the new year?
A local authority is looking for an Interim Estates Surveyor to join a busy property team, handling a diverse range of tasks across an operational and community focused portfolio.
Local authority experience is not required, however successful candidates must be trained as General Practice Surveyors and possess the ability to handle key tasks such as:
- Negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews
- Offering professional advice on leasing, acquisitions, disposals, valuations, property management and rationalisation
- Monitoring income, compliance, insurance, and repairs
- Managing requests for alterations, assignments, and sublettings
My client advised that an example of the work you'll do when you first join is assisting with a school’s potential expansion into a community centre, or negotiating leases for buildings needed by Children's Services.
This is a full-time position (5 days per week) and you’ll be required to attend the office at least once a week to meet tenants and see sites.
As an interim, your goal is to join the team and make a real impact from day one. Note that this is a varied role that can be challenging at times, so bringing a light-hearted, positive attitude is key.
If you’re a skilled General Practice Surveyor looking to join a supportive team and make an impact, I’d encourage you to contact me to discuss this role further.
