Your next role

It’s time for the next step.
You’ve earned it.

Building brighter futures.

Stephenson MK Trust excels at addressing the intricate needs of their students. As a leading SEMH school, they understand the complexity each child faces in engaging with learning. Their commitment is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for both students and staff.

Based across three academies, the scope of this role includes both operational and strategic HR responsibilities. When you initially join, your workload will involve learning about the Trust to take initiative and charge of ER cases. Once you have established your system, managed, and resolved the cases, you will be tasked with reviewing the existing policies and procedures of the Trust. During this phase, you will demonstrate your competence in creating policies in line with appropriate governing bodies to establish the expected standard of staff.

You’ll be driven to lead the HR functions in alignment with the school's values. You will be leading the full portfolio of HR services. If you are an HR Generalist with CIPD Level 5 or above, your day-to-day responsibilities at Stephenson will encompass all HR functions.

Through the development of new policies and collaboration with the CEO, you will ensure that training is rolled out as part of the Trust’s professional development for all staff. You will be leading an HR Assistant, collaborating with other members of the SLT, and providing comprehensive reports to stakeholders. As an integral leader, your ability to build relationships within the Stephenson community is vital.

Working within a school environment, you will become proficient in the Green and Burgundy books to run efficient teacher recruitment campaigns, onboard new staff, and review existing contracts. You’ll have a clear and concise understanding of all safeguarding procedures. You will oversee all monitoring protocols in line with statutory and local requirements across all schools.

In terms of benefits, you will receive bespoke CPD training and progression opportunities within the Trust. You will have 27 days of holiday plus bank holidays, access to holistic treatments, free lunches, and the Local Government Pension Scheme, which in Milton Keynes offers a near 21% contribution. A term time plus working set up will also be considered.

If you are currently working within HR and looking for more leadership and autonomy in your workload, contact Charlotte Tidd or Tom Morrison at Oyster to learn more about this opportunity. We understand that your CV might not be up to date, so send us what you have or look us up on LinkedIn, and we can arrange a conversation from there.

Stephenson (MK) Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and take individual responsibility for doing so.

Closing date for applications is Friday 21st June.

Oyster have partnered with Stephenson Mk Trust, any direct or third-party applications will be forwarded to Oyster.
