Housing Options Team Leader

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Housing Options Team Leader to join a local authority and make a significant impact in addressing homelessness and providing housing solutions to those in need.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of housing advisors and support staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
• Oversee the delivery of housing advice and options to individuals and families facing homelessness, ensuring high-quality service provision.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to prevent homelessness and support sustainable housing solutions.
• Collaborate with local authorities, housing associations, and support agencies to maximize housing opportunities and improve service coordination.
• Stay up-to-date with housing legislation, policies, and best practices, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary changes.
• Monitor and evaluate team performance, implementing measures to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Prepare reports, statistics, and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting teamwork and professional development.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in housing options or homelessness services, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong knowledge of housing options, social housing, and private rented sector regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.
• Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and IT systems relevant to housing management.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
