Housing Allocation Officer

We have an great new vacancy for a Housing Allocations Officer role to join one of our clients within South East England.

The great this about this role it is a hybrid working position. This means you can work in the comfort of your own home 3 days out of working week.

This position is an initial 6 month contract with a high chance of an extension.

A successful candidates duties will include :

• Allocating properties in accordance with the Councils policy
• To process applications for tenants , including checking and investigating,
  banding and be responsible for the monitoring and managing of theses
  cases
• To deal with written and verbal inquiries in connection with all housing
  allocations, Choice Based Lettings and related matters, both from
  applicants and outside agencies including other local authority’s, social
  services, solicitors etc.

Experience required includes:

• To have a comprehensive working knowledge of all information technology
  systems relating to allocations work.
• A working knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 VI and the Councils
  Allocation Policy as well as the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
• Ability to interview clients skillfully and give the appropriate advice.
