Highways Development Control Service Manager

We are working with a local authority situated in Yorkshire in their search for a Highways Development Manager (s278/38) with the skillset to be able to aid the Highways Adoptions team by leading and managing both s278 and s38 agreements on behalf of a local authority.

A key element of this role is working with cabinet and heads of service to overlook the designs post the developer has their planning application assessed. Your input would require the management of the legal agreements to be signed off.

Additionally, local authority experience of Development Management experience would be a bonus. The Local Authority have expressed, although you'll be managing the road adoption team, the skillset to manage the load of Planning Applications and to ensure they're commented on by statutory deadlines, would also be needed.

The highway schemes will include work such as; a mix of rural and urban sites.

• This role lands inside IR35, contracted for 6 months initially, with the option to renew.
• WFH hybridity is available, would be appreciated if to come into the offices a couple of times per week.
