EHO - Food Safety Officer

A Cheshire based local authority are seeking a highly experienced and reliable Environmental Health Officer, specialising in Food safety. You will be an important part of the team, ensuring the safety of the community.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake inspections of food premises categorized as C-E to assess compliance with food safety regulations
• Report potential hazards or violations related to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Offer support and advice to food business owners on best practices for maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Provide detailed reports of inspections, highlighting areas of non-compliance and recommending corrective measures.

Requirements:

• Degree in environmental health, or a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience as an EHO at a local authority
• Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and practices.
• Proficient in using relevant software applications and technology for inspection purposes.
