Flood Risk Officer

You will support the Senior Flood Risk Manager in accordance with the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 and to achieve the Council’s objectives and strategies as a Lead Local Flood Authority.

Key responsibilities:

• Liaising with colleagues in the Local Planning Authorities as well as Developers and consultants to ensure that information on flood risk and SuDS meets best practice and national policy.
• Leading on the delivery of the SuDS strategy for the Council including highway SuDS opportunities and preparing a schedule for SuDS delivery.
• Reviewing and commenting on drainage aspects of planning applications for minor and major developments, in line with the London Plan and SuDS Non-Statutory technical standards
• Reviewing and commenting on drainage aspects of planning applications for minor and major developments, in line with the London Plan and SuDS Non-Statutory technical standards.

The role may require occasional out of normal hours working to facilitate the successful delivery of the programme.
