I’m working with a Warwickshire-based local authority that is looking for two Officers to join their team on an initial 3-month contract, which is likely to be extended beyond that. You’ll ideally be available to work 5 days a week and will be starting in December.
Key Responsibilities:
Environmental Protection Officer
- Investigate and manage cases related to contaminated land and noise pollution
- Work will also include planning applications, environmental permitting and air quality
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enforce environmental regulations
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Issue Civil Penalty Notices where required.
Technical Officer
- Focus on domestic nuisances such as fly-tipping and abandoned vehicles.
- Initiate investigations and gather relevant evidence.
- Collaborate closely with the Environmental Protection Officer to follow up on cases.
- Play a vital role in maintaining environmental quality within the community.
