Your next role

It’s time for the next step.
You’ve earned it.

All companies are focused on Energy and Sustainability at the moment.

But how have you, as an Energy Manager, found the change?

Is your company just focussed on the ‘bottom line’, rather than being serious about change?

In the interview you were told about all the projects you could be involved in around sustainability & cutting energy costs, but in reality, it’s more of a ‘box-ticking’ exercise?

Your plans are being side-lined or you just can’t get that meeting with the CEO to discuss the all-important energy saving strategy

How about somewhere different?

Brunel University could be it.

You, as their new Energy Manager, would be a key part of the Estates Team. You will be joining the Associate Director of Environment & Sustainability to drive forward change within the university.

Brunel are serious about change, they have committed to reach Net-0 by 2040, with their own target of 78% Net-0 by 2033.

This is something you can be a part of.

& It’s not just empty words, they even get their students involved in the process and are currently creating a long-term sustainability strategy. You will be able to see you plans and projects through from beginning to end & ultimately see their impact with your own eyes.

Well, your role would be looking at the Universities consumption of energy, water & Carbon to improve building efficiencies across the site.

You will also be helping with budgets. The focus will be on procurement & cost-effective purchasing. You’ll also provide projections and forecasts quarterly to advise on electricity, gas & water consumption costs across the site. You’ll also contribute to the development of an automatic bill calculation invoice verification process.

Now, what makes you perfect for the role?

As this is a specialist subject within the University, you will need a degree in a relevant nature to proceed with this role.

& Importantly what’s in it for you?

Brunel pride themselves on their benefits package. Their USS pension is unrivalled, you’ll have more money in your pension in 1 month than a whole year at your current consultancy.

Also, annual leave, think of what you could do in 30 days…

now add 3 Closure days at Christmas & 3 at Easter…

& Finally add the 8 bank holiday days.

44 days holiday!

I bet you don’t get that time off where you are now.

There is more, but I don’t want to ruin all the surprises at once.
