Commercial Manager

This Mayfair based developer founded by a billionaire family has an interesting story behind them, they’ve certainly grown from strength to strength, and they’ve been clever in their recruitment since they were founded 10 years ago.

You would be working in multiple sectors, focused on student accommodation, build to rent, hotels and commercial schemes across London – the business has assets under management of more than £1bn although typical project values you would be involved in would range anywhere from £20m-£90m.

You would be reporting to the Commercial Director, working closely with the Acquisitions Team, Investment Team, and the Finance Team, identifying risk, producing development appraisals, you will need to be able to manage and maintain relationships with the main contractors and other third parties on a daily basis.

Currently 45 staff across all functions and they work in a stunning open plan office – you wouldn’t be a part of a huge boozy culture, but you would be regularly out having fancy lunches - once a month they pay for a professional chef to come into the office and cook for you.

You would be looked after well, very generous bonus structure which isn’t all necessarily discretionary – for example, if you save the business money on a claim or a dispute then you will be rewarded.
