Loving your site-based role but missing that business element?
You’ll be based in a beautiful, listed Church based in the leafy Honor Oak Park area, where you’ll become part of their tight-knit, enthusiastic team, where you’ll not only be maintaining the Church’s multiple facilities but also ensuring that the Church can put its best foot forward and really make a difference within the organisation itself, as well as the community it impacts.
Working alongside the Church Wardens and the Parish Priest who leads the team, as soon as you meet them, you’ll be welcomed with open arms and encouraged to develop and improve the Church, you and whilst you’d manage a team of one/two and be in charge of supporting both the Church and the outbuilding and the staff within, you’ll have full autonomy in how the premises are run and in turn become a valuable cog of the organisation and treated as part of it.
Within the role, you’ll have the opportunity to get stuck in, doing a mix of nurturing, enhancing, and refurbishing the buildings’ historic features, whilst taking charge of the nitty-gritty grant-handling and budgeting improvements, along with lettings negotiations and ensuring good relationships are maintained between clients, contractors, and the Church itself.
Balancing both the hands-on of the role along with a strong business focus, you won’t simply be managing a site, you’ll be put in the driver’s seat – taking control of ensuring the Church is reaching its full financial and community potential, with a chance to make a visible impact. Not to mention being a convenient five-minute walk away from both the Overground and Underground Station to top it off.
Sounds appealing, right?
You’ll have the opportunity to meet and get involved with the local community and play a part in coordinating community events and promoting these through various media sources, giving you an ideal outlet for your business-oriented side.
We would like to attract talent from all corners of the Property world for this role. Our commitment is to an equitable recruitment process so feel free to apply in any way that suits you, via WhatsApp, video message, CV, the more creative the better.
