Your next role

It’s time for the next step.
You’ve earned it.

New year - new start - one where you are able to give back to the community around you

Is variety important when it comes to work? If so, then this building Surveyor position, can definitely offer that.

This is a great opportunity where you get to work on an eclectic and vast portfolio of properties ranging from farm yards to churches, to residential buildings, to large commercial spaces. This charity has it all and more!!!

The charity we are talking about is the Salvation Army, which you no doubt will all have heard of as it is a household name. It’s sole focus is to help the welfare of others and help the community around them.

With a property portfolio of over 3000 buildings UK-wide, this is really a job that not only will you be helping others, you will also be enjoying the process, working on interesting and varied projects, from Churches to farm yards, from large commercial space to small residential homes, the salvation army has a mix of everything.

You will be working on numerous projects up to the values of £350K, all varying in size and complexity, every day will be a learning day with such a mixed bag of portfolio, covering the beautiful highlands of Scotland. The main focus will be the central belt of Scotland between Edinburgh and Glasgow, but will be a few projects outside this area.

You won’t need to worry about the cost of fuel rising, for a company car along with expenses will be covered, which with household prices all going up, always comes as a great benefit.

As a building surveyor you will be used to working to PPMs, but what is most important is your ability to build relationships with both proprietors/colleagues and contractors always with the understanding that the core value is helping the welfare and lives of others.

Like with a lot of companies, the Salvation Army really understands the importance of a good work life balance. Giving you the option to work from home when writing up reports, but also having plenty of office space, should you prefer to work in an office, working to your needs.

If this is something you might be interested in, I would love to hear from you and can give you more information about this great opportunity.

“We would like to attract talent from all corners of the Property world for this role. Our commitment is to an equitable recruitment process so feel free to apply in any way that suits you, via WhatsApp, video message, CV, the more creative the better.”
