A well-established Local Authority in the South-East is looking to hire a motivated and experienced benefits officer to join their highly driven team.
About the role -
This role offers you the chance to work from the relaxed space of your home, working 37 hours a week with flexibility to accommodate your needs. You will use Academy for processing and information at work for the document management system. You will start on a 6-month initial contract but with hard work and diligence, the possibility of an extension is likely.
What will you do?
You will provide advice and guidance to those who are entitled to benefits. Alongside this, you will determine the eligibility of claimants. Part of this role will involve contacting third parties to check income verification.
What do you need?
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority.
- Experience using Academy.
- Knowledge of the benefits industry and a sound understanding of the legislation.
