Immediate Requirement

Temporary Requirement | 4-6 Months | West London based Local Authority

A client of ours is heading out to market to recruit a member of staff with in the finance department to be the main business partnering contact for a selected amount of schools.

Duties but not limited too:

  • To provide financial support to Finance Officers, Finance Managers, Headteachers and Governors in client schools including; budget setting, budget monitoring, accounting procedures, cash-flow requirements and the monitoring of financial management arrangements.
  • To provide operational support to client schools use of accounting systems. To provide technical support to school SIMS FMS system, where used.
  • To support the Lead Finance Business Partner (Schools/DSG) and Head of Finance in providing accounting, budgetary control and financial advice services in respect of both revenue and capital. Including the collection and collation of financial information from schools.
  • Advise schools staff on the appropriate procedures for the financial administration of their services in line with Financial Regulations

The client is happy to take on someone who is either AAT Qualified or qualified by having extensive experience within local government schools finance.
