A rare opportunity has just presented itself in the Central England area (WFH/Hybrid Working) for a Principal Transport Planner (Active Travel) to join an exciting team dedicated to making a difference.
The contract rate will be up to £45-£55ph (£80,000 per annum).
Key Responsibilities/Experience would include:
- Providing transport planning professional and technical management and leadership in relation to supporting strategic sites, Local Plan reviews, developing transport strategy and schemes, commissioning studies, preparing business cases and securing funding for infrastructure, frontline Member, stakeholder and public engagement, managing project budgets.
- Assisting the Team Lead in the management of the team
- Representing the management team at project and other working group meetings and at partnership meetings to ensure the opinions of the team and the County Council are represented
- Leading the development, commissioning and implementation of transport planning projects and studies, including those conducted by external consultants, taking responsibility for their day-to-day management within complex programmes as required in accordance with County Council’s Project Management guidelines
