A Locum Regulatory Solicitor (Legal) is required to assist as part of the Corporate and Communities Team in the provision of legal advice and support to Council Services primarily in respect of prosecution work and regulatory enforcement.
Duties to include: To personally undertake and maintain a caseload of work with primary emphasis in the areas of prosecution work and regulatory enforcement. The caseload shall include both contentious and non-contentious work, but will be primarily contentious. for example; enforcement and prosecution work covering all areas of the Public Protection Partnership, including Trading Standards, Environmental Health prosecutions and Licensing
The Local Authority will require the individual to deliver timely and effective legal advice and assistance on all planning matters. The candidate will independently manage their own and provide supervisory support. The role is full-time hours.
Start date: 22nd of February 2021
Rate: £30+ an hour
Duration: 2 Month’s initially
You must be able to work both independently and as part of a professional team. You must be able to manage conflicting priorities to deadlines, as well as provide support on all planning matters.
The workload is varied and interesting and you will be providing professional and important legal advice, covering a range of Planning issues, including s106 agreements.
It is necessary that you have previous experience working within a Local Authority.
The role is 100% remote working.
