Interim Head of HR

I am currently working with an organisation that lives and breathes its values to help vulnerable children in the education system. They are seeking an experienced interim Head of HR to manage the HR function and work closely with the CEO on structural development plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the HR team and be the escalation point on all complex queries
  • Be responsible for the HR team’s performance on recruitment, employee relation cases, policy writing and data input
  • Work closely with the CEO on organisational development strategies and implementing wellbeing initiatives
  • Focus on the recruitment procedures, evaluate the current attraction and retention schemes and find ways of improving the turnover
  • Support the CEO on upskilling the workforce by looking into training programmes and external providers
  • Build strong internal relationships with the wider organisation
  • Become a key point of contact for educational clients

Background

  • Experience in a similar Head of HR position
  • Used to reporting directly into the CEO
  • Strong knowledge across organisational development, learning & development, employment law, recruitment and budgeting
  • Previous management experience for teams of 5 – 10 people
