If having a position that enables you to be flexible then this post might just be the one for you, this position has come about in fantastic little Local Authority based in the West midlands area. They are for looking for a Food Safety Officer for an initial 3 months which could potentially be extended.
You will be joining an already busy team for 2-3days a week with plenty of work to take you up to the beginning of summer.
About the Role:
The role would see you play an integral role as a part of a busy team dealing with:
- Undertake od inspections from C’s, D’s and E’s. The perm staffwill look after the higher level of inspections but you may still be required to be inspect the higher rated inspections on occasion.
- Reactive commercial work
- Food complaints
- Hygiene complaints about food businesses and also providing on-site training.
- Accident investigations
The rates are open to negotiation depending on experience and is likely to be £24-£28 an hour Umbrella on a 3 month contract. The council is also open to flexible working arrangements due to the role for the right candidate. As this position is Part-time they are looking for someone to help out 15-20 hours a week.
EHRB registration is preferable but they will consider a Technical Officer with the Higher Certificate in Food Control and Premises Inspection. It is essential that you have an up to date knowledge of current legislation and ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience within Food Safety.
