Finance Officer

A small housing provider based in South London are looking to take on a Finance Officer on a permanent basis.

Finance

  • Processing all income and expenditure (writing cheques and sending out
  • payments; making bacs payments; paying cheques into the bank etc)
  • Inputting all transactions onto Pyramid accounting system
  • Day to day management of office cash; production of monthly spread sheets
  • and entering into our accounting system
  • Posting of rents and invoices, prepare annual rent and service charge increases
  • Weekly and Monthly reconciliation of all bank statements and reconciliation of current and rent accounts

Administration

  • Answering telephone, screen and direct calls, take and relay messages, deal with queries and provide information as necessary
  • Be proactive in finding more efficient ways of working through use of new tools or procedures
  • Assist with project related administrative work as required

Desirable

  • Accounting and/or bookkeeping training or qualifications
  • Experience of using Pyramid (or other accounting packages i.e. SAGE)
  • Interest in and knowledge of social housing
