I think we all keep hearing those words bandied about – unprecedented times, unchartered territory, uncertainty. Being confined to our homes, whilst it keeps us safe, can leave us feeling disconnected, fearful, and unsure about how the industry landscape will look once we emerge on the other side. For the most part, things have carried on ticking on as best it can, but for some of us, those changes have already begun.
Don’t lose heart. Think of the people trekking from house to house leaving daffodils and groceries on the doorsteps of the isolated. Think of the charities inundated with volunteers happy to sit and chat on the phone to the elderly to stop them feeling alone. Think of the people sharing their food, sharing their essentials, to make sure no one goes without.
But if you find yourselves untethered, uncertain that you have a job to go back to, or indeed if you have found yourself without one already, please think of us. At Oyster, we are working harder than we ever have to make sure that things keep moving. And we’re not the only ones. I am bowled over by the lengths our clients are going to in order to keep the industry going. Video calls, teleconferences, remote working; where they can, our clients have adapted. We cover a range of industries, anything from Town Planning, to HR, to the NHS, to Education, and where we can, we will help you to find something to tide you over.
