Call Centre Supervisor- Hertfordshire – Healthcare

Our Healthcare client is seeking a Call Centre Supervisor to oversee and assist with their busy services.

Based mainly at one hospital but will travel needs to other hospital locations from time to time, the main duties of the role will be:

  • Overseeing the call centre
  • Being ‘On Call’ for the 24 hour service on a rota’d basis
  • Creating staff rotas
  • Filling in on the phones when needed
  • Ensuring emergency calls are answered and dealt with efficiently
  • Assisting with enquiries and complaints
  • Identifying areas for improvement with the call centre manager
  • Training and developing staff
  • 1 to 1s
  • Recruiting for the team
  • Reporting and forecasting data
  • Having a base knowledge of call centre software and ideally experience within healthcare or an emergency services call centre
  • Any other duties as needed

The ideal person would have the following skills and experience:

  • Management experience
  • Experience working in an extremely fast-paced call centre
  • Healthcare or NHS experience highly desirable
  • Able to motivate a team
  • Happy to travel to other sites when needed
  • Experienced with electronic switchboards
  • Able to commit to ‘On Call’ hours
  • Able to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Able to forecast call centre data
  • Able to analyse and look at stats
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about driving the services forward
  • A flexible ‘team player’ attitude
