Everyone loves the backing of a national brand. It’s reliable, consistent, and exactly what you need to further your career and to grow professionally.
But often this can mean foregoing the opportunity to make your mark, have a little autonomy and carve your own way into a team.
How perfect would it be to combine the two?
Bidwells are looking for a Senior Associate to spearhead the monumental projected growth of its Oxford region.
Working for a company that has paved the way in the history of British development for multiple centuries, in an area they are looking to invest into becoming their ‘second city’, is surely a no brainer?
You’d be based within their Oxford office, on the 9th floor of a commercial tower, and having been there recently to meet the team – trust me it offers some truly breath-taking panoramic views of Oxford’s countryside, and its quaint city skyline.
With clients ranging from century-old universities to tech developers your role will be to act as a key figure in the team, guiding junior Planners and acting as a pivotal driver in projects.
The role would see a strong residential focus, their core market is serving both of Oxford’s world class universities, key global technology players, endowments of university land from Oxford colleges and strategic projects on a wider-scale basis. This is a real opportunity to expand your skill set in a range of sectors.
This is a very timely and rare opening, with most Planners of this level having been organically promoted within the business – but following a recent merge with Turnberry Planning, their Head of Planning, is looking to bring in a second in command to drive forward the Oxford Planning teams’ business.
The role is yours to make of it what you will. With opportunity to get involved and have an influence on the region’s 5 year business plan of the office, you will in turn be rewarded for this input.
On offer is an exciting workload, as well as an incredible package – this opening realy has it all.
Acting in partnership with their employees, there are no shareholders of the business. With 82p in every £1 profit going back to their staff, they adopt a ‘sharing our success’ mindset, improving the lives of staff across their business with multiple opportunities to be rewarded financially, on an individual, team and even ‘nominated’ level, where colleagues can nominate those who have gone that extra mile for further recognition.
Let’s be honest, you didn’t get into Planning for an easy ride. It’s really not a profession where you can sit back and cruise through. But it’s easy to fall into a repetitive trap, where perhaps you aren’t as challenged as you’d like to be.
If a clear pathway to partnership is something you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me (Ettie) on 07936 928702.
