Recently, a great opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Building Control Surveyor to join a Local Authority on a contractual basis. You will be joining up with an already established team of surveyors who are in need of an extra pair of hands moving forward this year. The contract is likely to last an initial 6 months, and you will be given the support to grow and gain further experience.
Ideally, you will have a RICS accredited degree and at least one years experience within Building Control. Should you be working towards professional accreditations, that is also desirable. You should have relevant and, most importantly, recent experience within Building Control; this can be either in the shape of working with Local Authorities or Approved Inspectors. Experience in BOTH checking plans and completing site inspections is desirable. The client is looking for someone who possesses great communication skills and work ethic.
