LandAid – The 10k run to help end youth homelessness!

A massive well done to everyone at Oyster and to all of those working at differing property industries who took part in the LandAid 10K/5k run, on Thursday 7 June. A special thanks and mention to our Property Recruitment Specialist Carla Chamberlain who presented Oyster’s sponsored trophy for ‘The fastest Male Under 45’, this was awarded to Michael Wright of Watts Group who ran 10k in 34.52.

The cash has been counted, including £170.00 extra raised from our OP Property Golf Day and the total so far has amounted to a whopping £940.00, which is just the estimated total at present, as Real Estate Finance Recruitment Specialist Matthew Bunyan will be giving a days wages which will be added on!

This is a significant achievement and collective effort that will really help to make a difference to those living rough as LandAid works to bring the property industry together to provide safe, suitable and affordable accommodation for young people facing homelessness, giving them a brighter future.

Here’s a few other facts from the day…

·        639 runners entered the property industry’s biggest annual 10k race on Clapham Common

·        Michael Wright of Watts Group won the men’s race whilst Lois Bond of Knight Frank took gold in the women’s race

·        LandAid is on track to raise £80,000 for young people who are homeless

Here are the official LandAid 10k timings!

Well done to everyone involved in such an important day.
